Tis July

Ok its July and my third floor office (aka den, hide-away) isn't set up the way I want. For some reason I have no energy for the project. I would far rather tinker in the garden or behind the garage or pull wall paper down with my sweet wife Stephanie than to do this thing for myself. It's odd but all my energy drains away when I try to set things up more than they are. This Walden/Adventure/Sabbatical thing is quite odd in the early stages.

I love my space and I am so glad that Stephanie has her own office (finally). But I will have to wait for the inspiration to get my third floor hide-away sorted out I guess.

"Final Move"

Well today has some symbolic import as well as some relief. This morning the movers will bring the rest of our stuff from Arlington to our house in Winchester where we have pledged to stay awhile. We've been a bit like vagabonds the last few years since we sold our house in Framingham--moving every 11 months or so. We realize that we aren't (or at least I am not) as cut out for transient living as hoped. But its all good if you end up in the right place for you.

Now, if we can figure out how to negotiate with our scetchy landlords--whom we gave notice in April--to get out of our lease without paying every living cent. My guess is that they are planning on starting their renovations on our dime, that is, after we have moved out but still paying rent. I suppose we shouldn't hope for more as they did the same stunt when we moved in by trying to get us to start paying rent before we moved in and then having the painters come during that time. Alas, cheapness and mean-nesss abounds in the rat race.

It will be good to get all of our stuff out of there and in one place so we can begin to live our new lives.
